On April 7, 2025, KMC Women’s College of Paramedicals joined the global health community in celebrating World Health Day with the theme “My Health, My Right.” The day-long event was organized to promote health awareness and emphasize the critical role of paramedical professionals in preventive care and public health.
The program commenced with a special assembly followed by a keynote address by Dr. Lakshmi Venkataraman, a renowned public health expert. She emphasized the importance of equitable healthcare and the contribution of women in bridging gaps in the healthcare system.
Students from various departments conducted a community health camp in nearby neighborhoods, offering free BP, sugar, and BMI checkups. Awareness pamphlets were distributed, and counseling sessions were provided by the college’s trained personnel.
The event concluded with a panel discussion on “Women in Paramedics: Shaping the Future of Health” featuring alumni, faculty, and guests from reputed medical institutions.
Principal Dr. Shanthi Rajan appreciated the efforts and encouraged students to continue being proactive ambassadors of community health. The celebration reflected KMC’s commitment to education, empowerment, and service
